Privacy policy

Effective October 2, 2026.

This policy explains what Virtual Power Plant USA ("we", "us") collects on virtualpowerplantusa.com, how we use it and who we share it with.

What we collect

• What you send us in a form: your name, email, phone number, ZIP code, state, whether you own or rent, what you're interested in, any question you write, whether you ticked the text-message consent box and the exact consent wording you saw, and the page you sent it from.
• Technical information: our hosting provider, Netlify, processes standard request information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

We don't use advertising cookies, analytics tools, tracking pixels, chat widgets or session recording. Fonts are served from our own site. The ZIP lookup runs in your browser and isn't sent to us unless you submit a form.

How we use it

• To answer your question and follow up about the topic you chose.
• To call or text you, only as you agreed in the form.
• To keep the site working, secure and protected from spam.

Who we share it with

• VirtuGrid USA: if you choose the SOLRITE home battery program and you're in Texas, Illinois or California and own your home, we send your details to VirtuGrid, which powers this site, so it can contact you about the program, which VirtuGrid offers as an independent sales partner. The form shows this before you send it. VirtuGrid's own privacy policy, on virtugridusa.com, covers how it uses your details. If you then decide to apply, your application goes to the program under its own terms.
• Any other company: only after you agree. If another company could help with your question, we'll ask you first and tell you its name.
• Service providers that handle data for us under contract: Netlify (website hosting and form processing) and our customer relationship management (CRM) software provider.
• Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

We don't sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don't share mobile numbers or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes, except with VirtuGrid USA when the form names it before you send and you agree to be contacted by it.

Text messages

If you agreed to texts, message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See our SMS terms.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions as long as needed to respond and follow up, and then for up to three years for records, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop contact, through our contact form (choose "Privacy request"). Depending on your state, you may have additional rights under its privacy law, and we honor those requests. We won't treat you differently for using them.

Do Not Track

Because we don't track visitors across sites or over time, our site doesn't change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals.

Children

This site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We'll post any changes here and update the effective date.
